Sierra Wander (sierrawander.com) is a marketplace that connects guests with independent local hosts offering experiences, classes, services, rentals and stays in Nevada County, California. By using this site you agree to these terms.
Who you are dealing with
Each listing is offered by an independent host, not by Sierra Wander. The host is responsible for delivering the experience as described, for their own licenses, insurance, equipment and safety practices. Sierra Wander operates the booking platform, processes payment, and vets hosts under the Sierra Standard program, but does not itself run the activities.
Booking and payment
Prices are shown per person, per session, or per night as stated on the listing. An 8% guest service fee is added at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe. Your booking is confirmed when payment completes and you receive a confirmation email.
Cancellations and refunds
Guests may cancel for a full refund up to 48 hours before the start time. Cancellations inside 48 hours are not refundable unless the host cancels or the Weather and Smoke Policy applies. If a host cancels for any reason you receive a full refund including the service fee.
Your responsibilities
Arrive on time at the meeting point, follow the host’s safety instructions, disclose any medical condition that could affect participation, and bring what the listing asks you to bring. Hosts may refuse participation to anyone who appears impaired or unsafe, without refund.
Assumption of risk
Outdoor activities carry real risk. Before an activity you may be asked to sign the Participant Waiver. By booking you acknowledge these risks and agree that Sierra Wander is not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from an activity delivered by a host.
Reviews and conduct
Reviews must reflect a real booking. Harassment of hosts or guests, discrimination, and off-platform payment solicitation result in removal from the site.
