Nevada City after dark, told by lantern light. The fires, the fortunes, the hangings, the hotel that has never quite emptied out, and the stories the daytime tours leave alone.
An easy 90 minute loop through downtown with stops at the National Exchange Hotel, the old courthouse, the firehouse, and a few doorways you will not look at the same way again.
History first, chills second. Nothing jumps out at you. Kids 10 and up do fine.
Dress warm, it gets cold on Broad Street after sunset.
